Disrupting the at-risk cycle

The only true intervention - the only true way out of cycle that finds at-risk students living life short of what they are actually capable of and would want for themselves, is to show our students that there is so much more to life than what they have seen, experienced, and been dealt. We must surround our at-risk youth with mentors, confidants, friends, and successful adults who model appropriate social-emotional behavior and empathy while showing that they can be, have, and do anything that they set their minds to.

Most at-risk teens have never seen the ocean or walked barefoot on sand. They’ve never been on a plane, or hiked in a national forest. They’ve never been out of their city, out of their neighborhood. They’ve never experienced another culture or way of life. They’ve never seen what’s possible for their lives.

It is our job to show them.

At the heart of all of our programs is a community. A safe, social environment where students receive guidance in every area of their lives, where they bounce ideas off of each other, support one another’s goals, and build lifelong memories. A group of students who may start out as strangers; different grades, interests, and strengths, finding themselves at the end of the year friends. And family.

Launching for the 2026-2027 school here in 6 high schools located in Chicago, Los Angeles, Queens, Memphis, Nashville, and Houston, E5 Social will serve 20 at-risk students from each school.

E5 Social will be open M-F from the time school gets out until 7pm, and on weekends from 10am-8pm, and will provide transportation to and from our location.

To create and sustain change, intervention and support must be extensive. Our program includes:

  • Daily exercise and group training with certified personal trainers

  • Daily healthy snack and dinner

  • Weekly therapy, counseling, and life coaching sessions

  • Weekly sessions in creating a business and being an entrepreneur

  • Quarterly visits to companies in different industries to observe and participate in a variety of different career paths

  • Quarterly visits to colleges around the country to explore college and campus life, and to live as a college student for a week

  • Summer living abroad to experience a different culture and part of our world

  • Daily interactions with mentors and successful adults

  • Family support for their parents and home life
